Before the transition to MAX I was focused in the audit and improvement of the previous Design System of the brand. With the team we began to give it a new direction, improving it to such a point that through add-ons such as Figma Tokens we began to carry out tests of brand theming.
Some achievements:
- New Color Tokens.
- Theming testing using Figma Token Studio supporting HBO max.
- Component usage improvement for all platforms (adding needed states, properties and options)
- A11Y improvements for CTV, Web and Mobile libraries (A11Y issues solved)
Color tokens
Multiple meetings with feature teams to explain how the tokens were created and tested and thinking about how the brand can live with HBO at that time allows us to create a new approach.
Accessibility
Worked reviewing and improving the contrast ratio validation (a11y) in some components ensuring compliance with accessibility standards
